TeamNRG goes VIRTUALTeamNRG.com has partnered with both HP and VMware on a joint venture to install a completely new virtualized environment for one of TeamNRG’s Premier accounts: AltaOne Federal Credit Union.

In mid-June 2008 HP/VMware and TeamNRG.com replaced the existing 60 server infrastructure with a new BladeSystem solution from HP. The solution includes a completely virtualized environment using VMware's ESX virtual server technology. Additionally the entire system will be utilizing the latest in iSCSI SAN offerings from LeftHand Networks!

Create the foundation for the dynamic and automated data center with VMware ESX - the market leading hypervisor, production-proven at thousands of customers of all sizes. VMware ESX abstracts server processor, memory, storage and networking resources into multiple virtual machines, forming the robust foundation of the VMware Infrastructure 3 suite. Since 2001 VMware ESX has set the standard for highest levels of performance, scalability and reliability.

Gain the Benefits of Virtualization with Bare-Metal Hypervisors

  • VMware ESX and VMware ESXi are “bare-metal” hypervisors that partition physical servers in multiple virtual machines. Each virtual machine represents a complete system, with processors, memory, networking, storage and BIOS.
  • Multiple virtual machines can share physical resources and run side by side on the same server.
  • Operating systems and applications can run unmodified in virtual machines.
  • VMware ESX and VMware ESXi form the robust foundation of the VMware Infrastructure 3 suite. VMware ESX and VMware ESXi are included in all VMware Infrastructure editions.

Benefits of Virtualization:

  • Realize production server consolidation and containment by running software applications on fewer servers.
  • Provide advanced business continuity protection at lower cost and deliver high availability for critical applications.
  • Streamline software test and development by consolidating disparate development, testing, and staging environments with multiple operating systems on the same hardware.
  • Re-host legacy applications on new hardware for improved reliability.
