What Security Services Do
When your Security Services are actively licensed, your SonicWall receives security signature updates continuously throughout the day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. These threat signatures allow your SonicWall to block malicious viruses and malware from entering your network.
The SonicWall Threats Research Team collects, classifies, and creates Threat Signatures. The SonicWall GRID Network has over 1,000,000 sensors around the globe and is a member of the Microsoft MAPP program as well as more than a dozen other threat identification programs, so your SonicWall’s threat intelligence is always up to date.
If Security Services are allowed to lapse, viruses, malware, trojans, spyware, botnets, and network intrusions will not be stopped at the gateway by SonicWall Security Services, and your network may become infected.
